Nan and I were close friends since we both were about 3 years old. I remember when she came down with polio when she was about 5 years old. Her parents brought her down to Gillette Children's Hospital which was in Minneapolis, MN. Minneapolis was about 150 miles from home. One day her parents asked me to drive down there with them to see Nan. I will always remember her in a wheelchair, just flying down the hallway in that wheelchair, just laughing! Her attitude was so wonderful her entire life. She never complained. She just moved forward. I love her and will always miss her. My deepest sympathy to her beautiful children, Susan, Michael and family, and may the love of Christ always continue to surround them with the love that they all are.
