Don and I appreciated Mrytle Appling and her family during our life in Washington State. She was such a godly person to fashion a person's life after. We know the angels are singing their songs of praise because Mrytle has joined them singing in heaven.

I was so very fortunate to be a friend of dear Myrtle. We sat next to each other every Sunday at Trinity Church and went to Mike and Ann Berry’s home group together. One time I asked her for a recipe. Instead of giving me the recipe, she invited me over to her house and taught me how to make it. Such a wonderful, sweet saint. Kathy Farr

I remember Mrs. Appling as an awesome & amazing woman of God. She was soft spoken and full of wisdom. Mrs. Appling was full of positivity and a virtuous woman, with a beautiful spirit. My favorite memory when my husband Don Crider sang a duet with Myrtle Appling at Evangelistic Tabernacle.
An absolute blessing and privilege to have Myrtle and many of her children be part of our family at Temple Baptist during her later years! Her years of service and love for our Lord and her family was evident in every way and her children's faithfulness such a testimony to us all. We especially appreciated being able to honor that as a congregation when we would celebrate her birthday. We can only imagine the great reunion with her husband and those that have gone before when Myrtle was ushered into God's presence. We will miss her sweet demeanor each Sunday but rejoice that she is now "better than ever." Philippians 1:3 - "I thank my God for every remembrance of you" dear saint. Surely she received the highest accolade of a Christian: "well done good and faithful servant."
She was always a caring, kind and thoughtful human being. She will always be remembered. She blazed her path and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She taught all of you well and I know you will walk in her footsteps. That will make her more than proud of the legacy she left behind. She will be missed.
