Morris L. Petersen's Obituary
Morris L. Petersen, a 60 year resident of Tacoma, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2002. He was born July 21, 1925 in Makoti, North Dakota. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, and a lifetime member of the 94th Infantry Division Association. Morris married the love of his life, Doris Purdy after returning from Europe in 1945. He was retired from United Grain Company.Morris shared his love of God by loving his family, friends and neighbors. He was an active member of Bethesda Baptist Church and leaves a legacy of love and fond memories.Morris was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Doris Petersen, son, Ron Petersen, daughter and son in law, Linda and Larry Howell, grandsons, Justin and Adam Howell, granddaughter, Karena Howell, brother in law, Don (Jeanne) Purdy and many cherished nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Morris was preceded in death by his son, Daryl Petersen, and by six brothers and sisters, Pearl Albro, Clarence Petersen, Selma Anderson, Lynn Petersen, Esther Dunn, and Eddie Petersen.Viewing will be Friday, September 6, 2002 from 1 to 9p.m.. Services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 1:00p.m. in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center, Aspen Chapel.
