Millie lived across the alley from our house and was the Field Boss at the raspberry field in Puyallup where I picked berries. We picked, we had berry fights, and we picked some more and had more fights. Of course, Millie reprimanded us. Years later she apologized to me for being "so Mean" for getting on us for the berry fights and taking to long for lunch. I remember telling her we were just normal kids, brats, and she was just doing her job. We all liked her and did not think she was mean at all.
On a more serious note, I remember the many years she took care of her mother. I remember the hospital bed in her living room. I really respected her for that. What compassion and love. I will always have fond memories of Millie. Jinny (Thiel) Hall##imported-begin##Clarence and Virginia Hall##imported-end##
