I took Mildred lilacs every year since her best friend, my mama Jean passed, in our last conversation I said “who am I gonna take flowers to after you’re gone? I dont know how many Friday nights I spent at their house. I would watch TV while the parents played bridge....as a young teen I was picked up for movies or dates. Now as adults we always teased they might not be able to play cards in heaven... can they cuss there? haha she will be remembered and missed dearly

I am Mildred’s Grandson Todd. When I was young my Grandma taught me how to bake her famous pies and cookies which I continually make to go to work or friends events to rave reviews. It has earned me the nicknames “pie-man” and “Betty Crocker “. Mildred was a wonderful Grandmother who still hand wrote me letters almost up to her passing. She will be missed dearly by me and my children.
