Michael L. Patterson's Obituary
Michael Lee Patterson, age 72, of Fox Island, WA was born on November 4, 1951 and passed away November 1, 2024. Mike was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
Mike is survived by his beloved children Tom (Marina) and Greg (Clare), and grandchildren Troy, Finley, Michael, and Lexington, as well as his two brothers Ken (Lynette) and Pat (Suzi). Mike was preceded in death by his wife Julie and his father Gordy.
Mike is a proud WSU alum (Go Cougs!) and had a 30-year career as Director of Auxiliary Services for the University Place School District. Mike enjoyed his job and was well liked and respected by his team and colleagues.
Mike loved to play golf, watch pro golf, and never missed a chance to cheer on the Cougs, Seahawks, or Mariners. He was a longtime fan of Bob Dylan, attending too many concerts to count. He also took great pride in maintaining his beautiful yard at his idyllic home on Fox Island.
Mike was the textbook definition of a good father, brother, and friend. He was warm, funny, and humble—qualities that drew people to him, whether family or friends. Mike was truly the real deal, a class act through and through. He would poke fun at himself as easily as he would poke fun at anyone else, and always in good nature. He was an excellent role model to anyone aspiring to be a good and decent person.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s research in Mike’s honor.
