SFC Mervin L. Corder's Obituary
SFC Mervin L. Corder, 78 of Puyallup, Washington passed away on December 14, 2019 after a two year battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He is survived by his wife Dona Corder of 55 years. Son John Corder (Mary) and daughter Sheila Baty. Six grandchildren, Brett (Alix), Chase, Alexis and Morgan Baty, Jac and Matthew Corder. Two great grandchildren, Zeke and Rowan Baty. Merv was from Idaho and leaves behind many brothers and sisters.
Merv served 4 yrs in the US Air Force and 16 yrs in the US Army. He did two tours in Vietnam. He is also a retired Letter Carrier of 20 years. He was an active member of AA and his local chapter of the American Legion.
Merv suffered from PTSD, Lewy Body Dementia and Lung Cancer. He donated his brain to University of Washington research. There will be a service held at a later time.
