Melvin E. Bennit's Obituary
Born December 15, 1925 in Tacoma, WA. Passed away October 20, 2006 in Tacoma, WA.He served in the US Navy for 21 years retiring in June 1964 and he was active in the Fleet Reserve. He then worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller. He was a majority member of the Tacoma Chapter order of DeMolay; Past President of Lakewood Lodge No. 304 F. A. & M. and currently a member of Parkland-Lakewood Lodge No. 229; he was very active in the Afifi Shrine Club, Legion of Honor and Provo Guard.He is survived by his wife, Eleanor at home, daughters Linda Bennitt of Seattle, WA, and Michelle Melton of Lakewood, WA, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, Nov. 3, 2006 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center, Aspen Chapel.
