So much fun to share such a short time we knew him! What a great guy! He will be missed. Our thoughts are with his family.##imported-begin##Dan and Mary Davies##imported-end##
We remember Mel for his many years of tireless service to his country in the U.S. Navy and his support of the children's orthopedic and burn hospitals of the Shrine of North America and to Afifi Shrine of Tacoma, Washington, in particular. Mel was a wonderful man, of noble character and a great friend to us all. We will miss him.##imported-begin##John C. and Linda Taylor##imported-end##

Mel lived a full life. I know of no one who enjoyed life more or who had as many friends.##imported-begin##Larry Sankey##imported-end##
Mel will be missed by many. I will always remember the funny stories that Mel could tell with prefection about mistakes he had made. Like, "why you don't wire a cigar lighter to a Model A ignition switch."##imported-begin##Gary Weiler##imported-end##
