Family,
Words alone cannot begin to tell you how sadden I was to hear of the passing of my uncle, Maurice. As we take the time to grieve the loss of a husband, dad, brother, uncle, cousin and friend lets all remember 2nd Corinthians 5:8 ...to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Maurice is now resting with God. We loved Maurice, but God loved him more. From what I have read Maurice lived a life that was upright and pleasing to the Lord. He seemed to have touched many lives. January 8, 1956 Maurice was born, April 17, 2009 Maurice passed away. Let's all remember the dash the in between years, that represent all Maurice done, and all of his many accomplishments. He leaves with us a great Legacy. We all have our own fond memories of him to reflect on. May God Bless and peace be with each of you. May you find comfort in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The many memories that I have of Maurice from growing up in the Hale Street area to attending school together will be everlasting. My only thoughts since reading the obituary has been about my best friend and you. Angela and I are praying for you. To my cousins: Cleo, Tiffany, LaShawnda, Jo, Veda, Shirley, Booker T, Donna, Tee, Duke and Cissy, there are times when the only thing to be done is to endure.
