Cousin Maureen will always be remembered with love and cherished memories. Growing up, she was a part of every family holiday, often as the hostess. Her Christmas Eve buffets were so missed when I moved away! Even from a distance she stayed a part of our lives, interested in our family. She never missed my birthday, even this last one when she called while in rehab. All the important people and places that I love in the Pacific Northwest have a memory tie to Maureen!! She was a wonderful cousin who was more like an aunt. Although she will be missed, she will be lovingly remembered. My heart and thoughts will be with Tim, Kelly, Debbie and family as you celebrate dear Maureen on Sunday. She loved each of you.

I have so many memories of my dear cousin from my early childhood till now, I don't know where to start. My earliest memory is being her flower girl at her wedding. I't isn't a vivid memory but the story has been told down the years so I guess I was.:-).
Maureen and my mom, Vera, were more like sister with being together a lot. She was ALWAYS there for my mom, and for that I loved her dearly.
I will miss Maureen as the caretaker of all our Downing memories. She has filled many blanks over the years, before mom's passing and since.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is a very tough thing to deal with but I wanted to give you hope for the future. John5:28,29 Jesus says that he will raise up those who have died. Knowing that I will be able to see my loved ones again gives me hope and I hope it does the same for you
