My deepest sympathy in the loss of Mary. I met Mary 10 years ago when I joined the Whispering Firs Ladies Golf Association. She was av real trooper, I remember playing with her during the Winter months when it was still frosty, but that didn't slow her down one bit. She always had a wonderful smile, and a twinkle in her eye, she will be missed not only by me,but the the entire golf group at Whispering Firs. I met Mary when I joined the Puget Sound Sumi Artists (PSSA) organization in 1998. Mary was always there to help anyone in the group. She was not only a beautiful artist, but also a gifted calligrapher, and Mary taught Japanese calligraphy to any of us that wanted to learn. I loved playing golf with Mary. She had such a fun sense of humor and loved being with her friends. When I went to the Puyallup Fair and saw her art work on display, I was excited to tell people that she was my friend. When I met her at the comissary and she greeted me, she made me smile. Mary was a wonderful person and when I walk past the memorial to golfers at McChord, I will always think of her. Rest in peace, Mary, you were a wonderful person and I feel privileged to have known you. I hope your family knows how much you meant to us. My deepest sympathy in your loss of your Mom. I have such fond memories of my Aunt Mary and her visits to Ohio to see my Mom & Dad.
