Mrs. Mary Louise Jackson Ross and my mother, Mary Louise Barr, lived right down the street from one another for many years on South Ainsworth Ave. They used to talk on the phone quite frequently and every once in a while they would get together and go out. My mother told me that Mrs. Ross had a beautful yard and garden and tried for years to pass along tips that would help my mother grow flowers in her yard. Although my mother's gardening skills did not improve, I think both of them had a good time trying to figure out exactly what my mom was doing wrong. After the sudden death of my sister and during the latter stages of my mother's life, Mrs. Ross was a tower of strength, calling and checking on her several times a week. My mother and our family, really appreciated her support during our time of need.
Please accept our sincere condolences.
