Mary Frances Gonter's Obituary
Mary Frances Gonter age 83 of Blytheville Arkansas passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 At St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro Arkansas She was born to Patrick Ellis and Margaret Simkins Ellis on November 3, 1930 in Seattle Washington.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and her husband of 61 years Karl Gonter and daughter Mary Elizabeth Gonter Blondin, two brothers, Mickey Ellis of Auburn Washington and Pat Ellis of Kent Washington. She is survived by four children Karline Elder and Bennie of Blytheville, Arkansas, Robert and Mary Gonter of Mission Viejo California, Kari Gonter and Wendy of Morgan Hill California, Bernhardt Gonter and Natasha of Tacoma Washington. She is survived by one brother Valentine Ellis of Lynnwood Washington and two sisters Jean Peterson of Seattle and Margie Germain of Douglas Alaska and one brother-in-law, Gary Gonter of Tacoma. She is also survived by over 20 grandchildren and over10 great grandchildren
After spending 20 years as a military wife traveling the United States she spent the last 40 years in Tacoma Washington and two years ago moved to Blytheville Arkansas Where she enjoyed Visiting with her grandchildren, Sewing, crafts, going to her exercise class, watching the sunsets and tending to her flowers. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent Washington. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that memorials be made to Pierce College Foundation in memory of Mary Gonter and Blondin, 1601 39th Ave. S.E., Puyallup, WA 98374
