I had the pleasure of knowing Mary for over 34 years. I Met Mary at Bethel School District
where we both worked in the Accounts Payable Department. During the years we developed a family friendship. I saw the love she had for others always giving and helping in charitable donations, expressing empathy and offering kind words. Whenever my daughters had fund raisers they would go straight to Mary and she would buy and then round up everyone in our department to contribute until whatever they were selling would be gone. Children had a special place in her heart and she held a special place in theirs. We love you. You have stored up your treasures and now your crown awaits you.

I met Mary about 24 years ago when I entered Bethel School District as a substitute. I was 22 years old an wasn't sure which direction my life was headed. Mary quickly told me in her southern country voice " you better figure it out, you ain't getting no younger and time waits for no one". She always had good advice to share even when I didn't want to hear it.
The thing that impressed me the most about her was her passion for her cause, meaning if she was asked to do ANYTHING, rest assured she was going g to get it done. Her sales pitch could make anyone do anything ( as Marilynn already stated). Mary will truly be missed.

Some people are born to stand out, to make the world a better place. Mary was one of those people. She was lovely, wise, kind, open hearted and unique with a ready smile, kind word, and keen humor. She had a way of bringing joy to so many people around her. She was brave, strong, and much beloved. She was always a faithful woman of God. The beautiful thing about Mary, was everything about this magnificent woman! When I think of laughter, fun, happiness and friendship, I think of her. Her unconditional friendship is the precious gift she gave me. There is a place in my heart that will forever be just her size.
I met Mary 25 years ago when I interviewed for a job at Bethel School District. I thought she looked mean, but that was far from the way she really was. Our friendship grew every year. We did a lot together and talked on the phone a lot. My husband jokingly told her that we could only talk 30 minutes a week. When she got sick he told her we could talk as much as we wanted. She told him she wanted him to keep joking with her. She could talk me into anything, like being co-chair with her for the Relay for Life - Survivors committee. About a month ago she talked me into getting my nails done - which was the first time for me. She was a very positive person and strong in her faith. I’m glad she doesn’t have to go to the doctor anymore, or take any medication or be in pain. BUT, I am selfish and I’m going to miss her. I’ve already thought I should call her every day. Love you, Mary!!!
