Mary Eileen Healy's Obituary
Born February 23, 1921, in Antigo, WI to Michael and Ruth (Baumgartner) Hickey, Mary died February 9, 2005 at her Tacoma home, where she lived the past 50 years.After growing up in Wisconsin, she worked for Payless Drugstores in Tacoma for almost three decades. While raising her two sons, Mary was active in the P.T.A., Boys Club, and the Presbyterian Church. Caring and generous, she loved to serve others both on and off the job. After retirement she stayed committed to her church and courageously faced chronic health challenges.Mary is survived by son Mike Healy and grandson Mike Healy Jr. of Tacoma; Angie Harris Ginter of Olympia; niece Karen Woldtvedt and family of Friday Harbor; plus several nieces and nephews in Wisconsin. Her son, Patrick, died in 1987.Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 16th, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1615 6th Avenue, Tacoma. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Antigo, will be in the spring.
