I had the privilege having a temporary position supporting Marv at the old Boeing plant on Marginal Way. He remains a remarkable figure who touched my life, commanding respect and teaching it by good example. I felt blessed then--and now--for the stories he shared about his life. He was a very special man who will be remembered for his generous heart and brave spirit.
My condolences to his family in remembrance of a man whose hands and heart brought hope and good will into the lives of many many people.##imported-begin##Jenelle Anderson##imported-end##

To Marlene, You probably don't remember me but we were friends many years ago (remember Federal Way Family Skate Center?). I saw your father's obituary in the Tacoma paper and thought I'd send my condolences to you. I too have lost my parents and although it hurts tremendously, I take comfort in memories of them and all the good things they taught me. Best Wishes to you and your family, Don.##imported-begin##Don Bethke##imported-end##
Marlene and Marv,
I cannot tell you how very sorry I am to hear of your Dad's passing. Losing one parent is hard enough but to lose both and in such a short time well, I just cannot imagine.
I have many wonderful memories of your father especially his unique laugh. I remember how he enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and answering the door with the spooky music playing in the background only to see the look on the kids faces and hear the screams and giggles come out of them. Even my own girls got to experience that wonderful treat.
I'm so glad that he and your mom got to spend so much time together in their retirement traveling, seeing this beautiful country we live in and enjoying eachother's company.
Through the years your dad has touched many lives including my own and for that I feel blessed. He was a very special man who will be greatly missed by many.
May you find peace in the day's ahead in knowing that your dad and mom are together again. May your memories of your parents put a smile on your face and warm your hearts.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you both.
Always,
Kim##imported-begin##Kim Roller Zook##imported-end##
