Dear Twyla and Family, I was sorry to read in the newspaper today that Markus has passed away. I saw his grandpa's obituary a few months ago also. The picture of Markus with his grandpa caught my eye. I was sure it was for Markus. When I read that it wasn't for him, I breathed a sigh of relief.
I was Markus's teacher at Seward for 2 years. There was never a dull moment in our class with Markus there. He was always a lively little guy. As you wrote in his obituary, he never gave up when he set his mind on something.
Although I did occasionally see him frustrated by his physical limitations. Markus was quite the pistol. My memories of my time teaching at Seward are filled with hilarious memories of Markus. He could be a real comedian.
You Twyla are an excellent mom. Your love and dedication to your son was always evident. I did not know your other family members, although your husband came into the classroom once in awhile, as did your younger boys. It was very evident that Markus came from a loving family who gave him the attention and acceptance that we all need.
Thank you for sharing your son with the Seward staff. It was wonderful having you and Markus as part of our Seward family.
God bless you, Markus and the rest of your family,
sincerely,
