We have been searching for Auntie Marilu for years now, she is my father's first cousin and the closest among my father's (Mario Chico Jr.) relatives. It is quite sad that it was too late to have found her in this site and will never get the chance to meet her anymore. But with the good life that she lived and the care of the people who knew her, we are happy to know that her life was well-lived. My prayers to you Auntie Marilu. Papa misses you so much. Marilu was a dedicated wood carver demonstrating during the fall Washington State Fair. She loved to enter her woodcarvings for ribbons and premiums. We looked forward to seeing her each year to see what she would bring. She was very enthusiastic and passed that along to all the staff and fair guests. She will be missed.!

Marilu was always smiling every time we saw her. She spoke so softly like an angel. She never stopped loving the Lord. When she spoke of her awards from the Puyallup Fair she never really bragged. We visited the fair just to see her award winning carvings. Marilu would show up very early at Holy Cross for daily mass. We had some wonderful conversations about the way God sees us all. When she came up to us at Our Lady Queen of Heaven and spoke about the choir you could see God's light in her eyes. She had eyes that saw into your soul. She will be missed. On any day when the wind blows very softly I believe Marilu's voice is in that wind. Gods angel on earth. We miss you. with love and respect, Jeri & Mike Jaap
