I met Marie about 26 years ago. Soon after meeting her I asked her middle daughter to marry me. Marie enjoyed her many road trips with myself and Kathy to her favorite place, the casino. It didn't matter which one it just had to be a casino. Marie also enjoyed the summer trips to Ocean Shores and the Vogel family reunions at Mayfield Lake. I've heard all of the family stories of the way it used to be. She will be remembered in my heart for her compassion that family was number one. Marie will be missed by countless family members, cousins, grandkids, great grandkids and cherished friends. R.I.P. Marie

I enjoyed taking Marie to the casino, we had a lot of laughs and I learned a lot about when and how she met her husband, we talked about family and just about anything that came up. Marie was a wonderful lady. May God Bless her as she finds eternal peace.

I met the Purnell's back in about 1967. My memories are all around the kitchen table where we were either eating playing cards or visiting. There were always lots of laughs. Then there were the trips to the casino that Marie enjoyed so much. Thank you for the memories which I will always cherish
