Marian E. Adcock's Obituary
Marian E. Adcock of Tacoma passed away September 5, 2003. She was born September 7, 1929 in Tacoma. She was the daughter of A.V. and Golda Partlow Lee. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her sister, Bernice, and her brother-in-law, Floyd Bossa. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charles G. Adcock of Tacoma; her son, Charles V. Adcock and his wife, Mary of Tacoma; her daughter, Sharon Kemp and her husband, Dr. Stephen F. Kemp of Little Rock, Arkansas; her grandsons, Nicholas Adcock of Whidbey Island and Christian Adcock of Conway, Arkansas; and granddaughter, Carly Adcock of Cloverdale, California.Marian loved to travel, meet people, and share her many gifts. Many Moms and their little girls will remember Marian and her hand-made doll clothes, which she sold at the Puyallup FarmerÂ's Market for over 20 years. She shared her love of sewing by volunteering with the Sewing and Stitchery Expo every year at the Western Washington Fairgrounds. She also volunteered her time to teach sewing through the County Extension Office. Marian loved dogs and extended this love by volunteering at the Pierce County Humane Society for many years.Remembrances may be donations to the Make a Wish Foundation.
