“Mari”
Rosie began her life on October 10, 1936 in Madrid, Spain. She lived a
rich, fulfilling life, traveling the world and working in various fields. She
ultimately retired from her job as Supply Clerk for the 62nd Civil Engineer
Squadron at McChord AFB.
The last days of her life were spent surrounded by family and friends that
loved her dearly.
She passed away on October 20, 2025 at the age of 89.
Rosie was a spitfire, full of life, energy, humor, and love.
The most important thing to her was her family. Her daughters Tania and
Katrina; her grandchildren Cody, Leah, and Jesse; and her great grandchild
Rowan were her greatest joy. Despite her failing memory, every day she
asked, “How are the children doing, two legged and four legged?”
She taught us all to be strong, independent, resourceful, loving, and to
stand strong in our beliefs.
She loved her “wheels,” the casino, and her faithful companion Bear.
She was often remembered for her paella, spanish sangria, and for some
of her favorite sayings like “chichimiqui” and “calmares en columpios.”
Wherever Rosie went, she made an impact. She was well-loved
by her family, friends, and coworkers.
Although you are no longer on this earth, the memories, love, and laughter
will forever leave a lasting imprint in our hearts.
Rosie was preceded in death by her father Juan Contreras Serrano, mother
Maria de Frutos Lajos, sister Nory Bernhardt, and husband Chandler A.
Rudolph.
She is survived by her daughters Tania Rudolph and Katrina
Raffensberger; grandchildren Cody, Leah, and Jesse Raffensberger; great
grandson Rowan Raffensberger; brothers Juanito and Jose Contreras; as
well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and former coworkers.
Graveside service will be held on November 12 , 2025 at 1:30 pm at
Mountain View Funeral Home with a gathering to share memories to follow.
We will hold a Celebration of Life this summer, date to be determined.

Rosie comenzó su vida el 10 de octubre de 1936 en Madrid, España. Vivió
una vida plena, viajando por el mundo y trabajando en diversas
ocupaciones. Finalmente, se jubiló de su trabajo como Auxiliar de
Suministros del 62.º Escuadrón de Ingenieros Civiles en la Base Aérea
McChord.
Los últimos días de su vida los pasó rodeada de familia y amigos que la
querían mucho.
Falleció el 20 de octubre de 2025 a la edad de 89 años.
Rosie era una fiera llena de vida, energía, humor y amor.
Lo más importante para ella era su familia. Sus hijas Tania y Katrina; sus
nietos Cody, Leah y Jesse; y su bisnieto Rowan eran su mayor alegría. A
pesar de su mala memoria, todos los días preguntaba: "¿Cómo están los
niños, los de dos y cuatro patas?".
Ella nos enseñó a todos a ser fuertes, independientes, ingeniosos,
amorosos y a mantenernos firmes en nuestras creencias.
Ella amaba sus “ruedas”, el casino y su fiel compañero Oso.
A menudo era recordado por su paella, su sangría española y algunos de
sus dichos favoritos como “chichimiqui” y “calamares en columpios”.
Dondequiera que Rosie iba, dejaba un impacto. Era muy querida
por su familia, amigos y compañeros de trabajo.
Aunque ya no estés en esta tierra, los recuerdos, el amor y las risas
dejarán para siempre una huella duradera en nuestros corazones.
A Rosie le precedieron en la muerte su padre Juan Contreras Serrano, su
madre María de Frutos Lajos, su hermana Nory Bernhardt y su esposo
Chandler A. Rudolph.
Le sobreviven sus hijas Tania Rudolph y Katrina Raffensberger; sus nietos
Cody, Leah y Jesse Raffensberger; su bisnieto Rowan Raffensberger; sus
hermanos Juanito y José Contreras; así como numerosos sobrinos,
sobrinas, cuñados y ex compañeros de trabajo.
El servicio junto a la tumba se llevará a cabo el 12 de noviembre de 2025 a
las 1:30 pm en Mountain View Funeral Home con una reunión para
compartir recuerdos después.
