Marguerite F. "Maggie" Anderson's Obituary
Marguerite "Maggie" Fay Hutchinson Ehnat Anderson was born in 1927 and quietly departed this life on November 26th, 2016. Maggie was the oldest of five children raised in Aberdeen, Washington. After graduating from high school in 1946 she moved to Tacoma,WA where she met and married her first husband, Edward Ehnat, and raised her three cherished sons. After Eddie’s death, she later married Charles "Ray" Anderson and embraced his children as her own.
Maggie is survived by her sons John (Laura) Ehnat and Edward (Peggy) Ehnat, her step children Mark (Diane) Anderson and Becky Grimm, daughter-in-law Maggie Jahner, grandchildren Brenda, Johnnie, Darsey, Deena, Philip, Craig, Stephanie, Kim, Shaun, Kelly, Travis, and Sarah, great grandchildren Glenn, Alli, Tanner, Deric, Nickolas, Dayton, Ashlynne, Lily, Brennlea, Alder, Tyler, Braden, Khloe, Cameron, Jacob, Alexia, Gavin, and Shianne, great-great grandchild, Jack, her brother Jerry Bradner, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands Edward G. Ehnat and Charles "Ray" Anderson, her son Craig Ehnat, Sr., her grandson Brent Ehnat, and three of her siblings.
Maggie devoted her life to maintaining a warm, loving household and to being an adoring wife and mother, not only to her own children but to many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren to whom she played a nurturing role in raising and maintained a special relationship with each and every one of them. She was loved by her extended family and her nieces and nephews often called her their “favorite Auntie.”
Maggie was fun and spunky. Everyone loved to be around her. She was able to laugh at herself and had an optimistic personality and a great sense of humor. She would always sing along to her favorite gospel music and dance around her house while her country music played in the background. She would often pulled others up to dance with her.
Maggie touched the lives of many through her kindness and encouraging words. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with family and friends. She had numerous lifelong friendships and made friends easily wherever she went. She nourished those friendships through phone calls, cards, and letters throughout the years. She never missed a birthday and kept many of the cards and notes given to her from friends and family which she lovingly held dear to her. She was known by generations of people in the neighborhood as Grandma Maggie. Maggie was never too busy to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was sweet, welcoming and non-judgmental, and had an uncanny ability to make the people surrounding her feel loved unconditionally. She never let anyone walk away without saying I love you.
Maggie will be truly missed by all who knew her. All of heaven is rejoicing!
A Memorial Service to honor her life and the unconditional love she had for everyone will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Aspen Chapel on December 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
