Cecil, you may not remember me, but we won several egg tosses at the firemen's picnics in the long ago past. I am the daughter of Sue and Bruce White, and I wanted to express my condolences on behalf of our family. I have very fond memories of that time, and only wished I had known Jane better. I do seem to remember that somehow Jane and my former (late) father -in-law, Dr. Richard Bleecker Link were related. By the way, Dick,Jr. and I named our late daughter, Jane. Perhaps I was influenced by your Jane and didn't realize it :).
I would come to the service, if I could, but have an appointment for Mom (Sue) that has already been changed twice. She turned 93 the day after Christmas, and is doing fairly well except for some specific problems which we are trying to address with this appointment.
By the way, I have contact with a man who is writing a book to be published in the spring, about the history of the Lakewood Fire Department. He may have contacted you, but, if not, and you would like me to let you know when the book comes out, email or call me, and I would be glad to do that, or even send you one, if you are interested. I had occasion to talk to Dick Hearon this last Monday. He gave me his phone number so I could let him know.
I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will miss your Jane very much. Judy 253 584 4070##imported-begin##Judy (White) Cross##imported-end##
