Maggie S. Bryant's Obituary
Maggie S. Bryant entered eternal life on Saturday, September 14th, 2002 in Tacoma. She was born in Summerville, SC on July 29th, 1925 to Wash Simmons and Martha Boyd Simmons. Maggie moved to Tacoma in 1946. During that same year she met and married her husband of 57 years, Luke T. Bryant. A loving wife and mother, Maggie was completely dedicated to her faith and family. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church since 1947. Maggie was a person who loved life and people. She was involved in community organizations including: Board Member of the Tacoma Youth Symphony and the organizer of youth bowling leagues for neighborhood children. For those of you who had the privilege to know Maggie; always remember her heart warming smile, wink, the way she held your hand, and the love she had for you!Maggie is survived by her husband Luke T. Bryant, two daughters, Candace Bryant-Cooper, Gwendolyn (Jay) Gilbertson, two grandsons Jesse and Joel, many nieces, nephews, relatives and her close friend, Mrs. Willie Jordan. Visitation begins Wed. from 12 noon until 9:00 PM at Mt. View Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 11:00 AM, Thurs., Sept. 19, 2002 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Interment in Mt. View Memorial Park.
