Lula Mae Franks, 95 passed away peacefully in Lakewood, WA on September 01, 2023. Lula will be dearly missed and is loved by many family and friends.
Lula was born on February 24,1928 in Centerville, AL to Minnie Heard and William Blevins. She spent her early years in Centerville and Fort Wayne, IN. Lula married William Munford and became the mother of her only child Tommy Munford Sr. on March 02, 1947. Lula and Tommy settled in Lakewood, WA in the early 1960’s to be close to her sister Maggie Cray and Family.
Lula loved taking care of others. She worked as a Nursing assistant/Caregiver for over 30 years. She enjoyed singing in the Gospel Choir at Mt. Sanai Baptist Church where she was a long-time member. Lula spent her retired years doing all the things she loved. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, gardening, and cooking Soul food.
Lula will be lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Shannon (Kose Jr.) Suafoa, great granddaughter Seanna, grandson Tommy Munford Jr., Jeri Munford, and many nieces and nephews. Lula will be sadly missed but always in our hearts.
