Lorraine York's Obituary
Lorraine Marion (McVicker) York
Died August 11, 2013 at the age of 82. She was born September 14, 1930, Tacoma, Washington. Having received her Bachelor of Arts in 1974 from the University of Puget Sound, Lorraine had a rewarding career with the Tacoma Public Schools.
Lorraine is survived by her children Charles (Cherie) Bennett, Linda (Mike) Barnard, Janet (Terry) James, Deborah (Tracy) Bartoy, Scott (Ginger) York and Mary Beth (Dale) Grassi; one brother, Everett (Barbara) McVicker; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her husband, Clifford York, precedes Lorraine in death.
The viewing will be held Wednesday, August 14th, 1-9 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 15th 11:00 a.m. in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.
Mom was spunky, humorous and full of life. We will miss her very much. Donations may be made in remembrance to Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org.
