Omar Gonzalez
Hola Santa, girls and kids!!!
This is Omar Gonzalez, hope that you remember me!!! Back from church in Tacoma.
I just found out about about this tragic news and Lorenzo passing away...I can't imagine the void and terrible sadness of losing such an incredible honest man, faithful and loyal man of God, wonderful husband, humble father and amazing friend. He is and truly was the "last real Christian friend that I ever had" , he lived by example, he walked the talk and never compromised his Faith and principles.
From the first day I met Him and you and your wonderful family I knew you guys were the real deal and I trusted him as a confidant and friend. Throughout my service in the military and my days in Fort Lewis and during my deployment ,Lorenzo often supported my two boys, served as a father figure during my absence and gave me spiritual support during those days when I doubt my own faith.
His humble strength, soft smile and quirky jokes were such a refreshing quality in a world were been a man of virtue and values is no longer a priority. Although he was only 3 years older than me, for the six years I had the honor to be his friend in my stay in Washington, I looked up to him for guidance and many times I prayed that I wanted to be a man just like Lorenzo.
I have no words to express to you, Santa, how much Lorenzo meant and means to me; It's ironic how can destiny deprive this world from such an amazing and honest man. He was and will always be the last real Christian man that I will ever meet in my life!
We spent many hours discussing the Bible, and often he expressed to me how he could be more like Jesus...I never told him, but he always reflected what every man of God should be! Lorenzo always lived a life reflecting Jesus' Compassion and love.
I will always remember Lorenzo in my heart and the precious time that God allowed me to spend with him!!!!!!!
Santa and girls please reach out to me at my email [email protected], I want to be able to stay in contact and be of help to you guys. I know he would have done the same for my boys as he did during my Iraq deployment back in 2003.
With all my heart,
Love you Lorenzo
