Andrina Uemoto
Kanani - we spent our childhood just doors from each other, Heeia Kea Pier - you were mauka, I was makai.
We'd (Marie, Carla & I) go to your hale, listen to dionne warrick album (Walk on By) on your record player. Or listen to Theresa sing with her ukulele, on the top bunk of your dbl decker iron bed.
We'd go football games at Castle just to be lead by you, our own Song Leader.
We grew up, married, moved, had a family but I still remember the little we had that made us so happy - I will never forget where I came from.
Marie & I often talked about you, reminiscing those good old days of buying 50cents worth of gas for Carla's VW which took us all over for a week. I will miss you my Friend -
Regrets - yes! I did not keep you closer.
Promises - yes! One day we will all be together again.
E hiamoe me ka maluhia, Aloha ke Akua
