Grandpa Erickson,
Over the past few days I have been thinking about all the memories I have with you and Grandma. I'll never forget the stories that you told ("You wouldn't believe...") they were always so detailed, and you loved sharing them with everyone. Many of my memories resided around the kitchen table: I remember eating meals with you and you would read a bible verse, at the time that didn't have as much meaning to me, but looking back, I know how important that was. You showed/taught me to eat those good crackers with butter on them, you once told me not to stack my dishes on top of one another because it made more work for grandma. I remember playing down in your basement with my cousins during family gatherings. Your generosity, faith, love, humor and devotion to our family and God will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for everything that you have taught me throughout my life so far. Although I miss you, I know that you are in a better place with Grandma, Granny, Papa, and Nana.
Love You,
