Dear Buchanan Family, I really only saw Leon a few times. But the first time I met him we were standing shoulder to shoulder waiting for the doors to open for Friends and Family night at the Village Theater to see Showboat a decade ago. Marlette was appearing and he was practically bursting with parental delight and an enthusiasm that was so uplifting to witness. I saw him together with his daughter a few times and I could see that he was incredibly proud of Marlette and his family was well loved.
