Latonya Denise Cooper's Obituary
Latonya Denise Cooper was born on April 25, 1972, at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA. She attended Willard Elementary School, Gault Middle School and Lincoln High School, as well as receiving her associate degree in criminal justice.
Latonya worked as a residential counselor for 20 years at the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island.
On the evening of May 28th, 2023, the angel of silence came into Tacoma General Hospital and with warm fingers and sealed the lips of our beloved Latonya Denise Cooper.
We rejoice and thank God for a life which leaves behind it a radiance of purity, goodness, kindness and love.
Latonya remained a loyal soldier who fought the fight and kept and kept the faith to the bitter end.
Those who will long cherish her memory are her mother, her three children, 5 grandchildren, one brother, one sister, 3 nephews, 3 nieces as well as her significant other.
She was proceeded in death by her father.
