Lambert Ajeto Lactaoen's Obituary
Lambert Ajeto Lactaoen passed away April 29, 2015, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity and deep caring.
Born Aug. 21, 1958, in Quezon City in the Philippines, “Bert,” grew up and lived in Steilacoom, Wash., and was the second child of Eleuteria and Bernardo Lactaoen. He graduated from Lakes High School in 1976 and demonstrated his values of hard work and dedication throughout his career at organizations like Boeing, Safeway and the Transportation Security Administration.
Bert was an avid outdoorsman and spent his time camping, fishing and hiking. He will be remembered as a skilled water skier and angler and a true 12th Man Seahawks fan. He found his passion for sports through soccer, though, and loved following the Seattle Sounders and the World Cup.
He was a very generous and loving son, brother and uncle. His nieces and nephews will remember his giving nature and his being their biggest cheerleader in sports and academics.
Bert will be greatly missed and is survived by his mother Ellie, brothers Ted and Tony (Jan), sister Desiree, nephews Bernardo, Derek and Owen, nieces Mandy and Dena and great-nephew Marcus.
We invite his friends and family to share their remembrances here. A rosary at 10 a.m. will precede the memorial service for Bert at St. John Bosco in Lakewood at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 7.
