I had the pleasure of working with Kermit at the Tacoma School District for 8 years. He always had a good sense of humor and never spoke negatively about anyone. He was true gentleman and enjoyed making sure the students and staff of the school district were safe. Just a good guy. Bob Guile

I have so many special memories of Kermit, growing up. When we were kids we used to go bowling and golfing with our dads (who were brothers). We spent time when we all visited our grandparents in Moscow Idaho. He was indeed a special person and holds a special place in my heart.
Uncle Jerry, you were absolutely the best Uncle a girl could have! Thank you so much for always being there. I enjoyed my visits with you and Aunt Corene so much. You were the best tour guide and never let us pay for anything. I will miss your text messages and phone calls. You will always have a special place in my heart. Your loving niece Tammy
To my friend of 50 plus years, Kermit Berge
Oh, the memories we share! We met when Kermit worked for Mr.Smiley, next door to me. I worked at A&W at 6th and Pearl in Tacoma.Kermit had returned from VietNam and was newly married to Corene. Those were fun times and we enjoyed many mutual friends. Snow ball fights and sledding at Mt Rainier, cruising 6th Avenue, and fishing in the Sound and American Lake. As time passed, there was bowling, pool and spectator sports. We laughed a lot as we competed at pool and golf. In Lincoln City OR, we watched the WPBA, in Phoenix and Las Vegas we watched NASCAR and golfed in Eastern WA.
This is a hard loss. We texted and talked nearly every day. Kermit was a caring person and a hard worker. He had a way with people of all ages. Thanks for the memories; you are missed. May you rest in peace. Joe Gehring
Kermit was a wonderful friend. He will be missed by so many. He always had a smile on his face and I loved his laughter. He was a major part of Luther Memorial Church for many, many years. RIP Kermit.
