Hello Diane, I am very sorry to hear about your Uncle Ken or â€œPatÃ‚â€ as I knew him. I worked with Pat at Allied Paper for about 8 years, I was a young sales rep and Pat worked with many of my customers. One of things I always admired about your Uncle is that he would always go out of his way to help. He had a very gruff, tough guy exterior and would tell me I didnÃ‚â€™t know my rear from a whole in the ground but he was always the first to let me know about a possible new customer, or to spend extra time helping one of my customers stock his shelves. Pat and I became friends and had a lot of fun taking shots at each other. Again, I am very sorry for your loss, and I wanted to let you know I am very happy that I knew Pat.

I HAVE FOND MEMORYS OF OUR HIGH SCHOOL DAYS AND THE EARLY 50;S WHEN WE WENT TO ALL THE TACOMA ROCJETS HOME GAMES AND SOME OUT OF TOWN GAMES. ALSO ALL THE TACOMA TIGER GAMES OUT ON 38TH STREET AND A LOT OF AWAY GAMES, OUR LITTLE GROUP HAD A BALL/. THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS AND WE CAN'T TALK ABOUT SOME OF THEM. I really only
knew him as someone we would see when visiting Auntie Janet and uncle Bill.
He was always so nice and layed back. I also remember the way he signed his name. I loved his "k".

Ken was a mainstay of my childhood. I remember piggyback rides (he was tall so I could touch the ceiling) and playing games with him and his friend, Dean. Both of them put up with the passel of nieces and nephews and almost seemed to enjoy it. As we grew older, he surrounded us with his calm understated manner at every family get together. When I divorced and struggled financially, Ken provided generous contributions to make sure my kids had what they needed. We will miss him.##imported-begin##Carol Hukari##imported-end##

Pat,
I had the privelage of working with you for 11 years at Allied Paper Company/West Coast Paper. I can recall over the years numerous stories of your life and the pride you showed whenever you had the chance with your buddies as part of the WW 1 Doughboys. When bowling season came around you find time for that fellowship too. When ever I filled in on your delivery route your customers were always concerned with their favorite driver whom was out on vacation or other. You left me with many great memories of a man who gave his customers the very best. And left an impression of a genuine man whom cared for many and was always considerate of his work family at Allied Paper Company. GOD Bless.
