Kenneth Ladd Blair's Obituary
KENNETH LADD BLAIR Of Puyallup, Washington - Age 77 Ladd Blair was born on November 3, 1947 in Evansville, Indiana to Leland Blair and Mary Jo Blair. He was the second oldest of five children. Bill, Ladd, Corky, Cyndie and Bretz. Ladd was part of an Air Force family. He attended multiple schools in various locations. The whole family moved many times. This made it difficult at times to keep long time friends. This did not bother Ladd because he was outgoing and made friends easily. Sometimes old friends turned up at the same duty stations. After graduating high school, Ladd went to undergraduate school at Green River Community College. He then transferred to the U.W. He failed one class his senior year, which made him eligible for the draft. Ladd was drafted into the Army in April 1969. He served in the Army in Germany until he was discharged in 1971. He also served in the Air Force Reserve. In 1972 Ladd met the love of his life, Linda .They were married in 1974 at Little Lake Ranch in Enumclaw, Washington. Ladd joined his Dad, brother Bretz and friends Dan and Mike Taplin working in residential construction. When construction jobs became scarce, Ladd went to work in commercial construction at the Satsop Nuclear Power Plant in Elma, Washington. In 1978, Ladd purchased some land and began building our forever home. We were so happy to have our own special home. Ladd never seemed to stop working on the house. I think we remodeled parts of this house three times!
During this time Jason and Morgan were born and Ladd and Linda became parents. Now our family was complete and so was our house. Ladd decided he wanted to go back to school to become an aircraft mechanic. He went to school at Clover Park Vocational school, while working at Weyerhaeuser. Upon completion of his studies, he was hired at Boeing for a short time, before finding his professional career at Alaska Airlines. Now we get to the good part! Ladd is much more than his jobs or dates on the calendar. He is the most authentic person I have ever known. Ladd is a husband, father, grandfather, friend, brother, neighbor and so much more to so many people. He is kind and always willing to help somebody. He is funny and tells the best stories. Ladd found humor and loved to share it (although not always appropriate). Ladd has an infectious laugh and truly loves to entertain those around him. Ladd is survived by his wife Linda, son Jason, daughter in law Leslie, grandkids Isaiah, Rayann, Jose', Oryan, Gracie, Michael, and Connor. Siblings Bill and Judy, Cindy and Ed, Corky and Fred, and Bretz and Terri. His daughter, Morgan was predeceased in 2018. Please think of a story and share it with everyone or privately with Linda and the family. Ladd AKA Krusty... We love you and will miss you dearly LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK FOREVER
