Kay was a wonderful person. she loved to be in the yard when we were there. She would always reminisce about her childhood. She could name off where things were planted and when. Kay and her parents were a very important part of my life when I was young. She taught me the love of books and how to research anything I wanted to know. I have continued this teaching with not only my own children and grandchildren, but, also, many other young people. My son used to tell his friends that his mother considers everything a learning opportunity. This thought process is because of Kay. I owe so much of who I am to her and Gordon and Jimmy. Circumstances change my contacts with Kay and Gordon when I was just 15,but my love and gratitude has never ceased.
