Kathleen Marilyn Thurston's Obituary
Kathleen Marilyn Thurston was born May 29, 1942 in Everett, WA. Died May 1, 2015 in Chehalis, WA at age 72.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Maxine Sutich, her beloved husband of 42 years Buck, and her daughter Valerie.
Kathleen is survived by her son Thomas Thurston (wife Sharon), stepson Fred Thurston (wife Sally); one sister, two brothers and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.
She was a longtime Tacoma area resident before moving to Yelm, WA where she worked for Wilcox Farms and Hytec hot tubs. She and Buck were volunteer EMT's for Bald Hills Fire Department. They moved to Pe Ell, WA in the late 1980's to their "Lone Oak" farm. She worked as a park ranger at Rainbow Falls State Park and volunteered in recent years for the local food bank and Senior Center.
Known by most as "Kathy" but to those closest as "KASS", she loved cooking, baking, gardening; camping and hunting; scary movies, crossword puzzles and computer games, and country music.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, Washington on Friday, May 8th at 2:30pm.
