Aunt Kathy; if not for you and Uncle Buck, Mike and I would not be here. Since you were the ones who brought Mom & Dad together 41 years ago. You have taught me so much about cooking, baking, computers, botany, and raising cattle- but mostly you taught me how to speak my mind whether someone wanted to hear it or not. And to stand up for what you believe in, no matter what; my stubborn streak also comes from you not my Mom, contrary to popular belief. All the years in Yelm baling hay, feeding the cows like "Julie", working in the garden and the roses--your beloved rose garden. Getting the keys to ride the mower down on the lower pasture out to the trees and stream, and playing golf. Thanksgiving when Uncle Buck gave us all a sleigh ride in the snow, and the summer Grandpa Sutich rode Yvonne's horse. And the 25th wedding anniversary party at the VFW hall--with just about everybody, dancing till dawn!
And then in PeEll, we helped move the stuff down to the Lone Oak farm; there we met "T-Bone" the bull and "Doc" the mule. And all the holidays and regular days we all spent together. I never would've been able to come home from the hospital in 1998 if you hadn't built the ramp in front of or house.
I loved you then and will love you always.......don't worry, your snickerdoodle recipe will live on!!
My love always, your niece,
Erin Safford
