Karen E. Johnson's Obituary
Karen E. Johnson was born April 30th, 1919 and died December 27th, 2005 at Orchard Park Health Care Center. Karen was a Tacoma native and resided in the area virtually her whole life. She was the only child of Carl and Miram Ehler. During her life, she was a mother, homemaker, and also worked at a variety of jobs until her retirement from The City of Tacoma in 1984. She loved to travel when she could and especially loved the San Juan Islands, Canadian Rockies and Oregon Coast. Karen was involved for a time with the Tacoma Historical Society and Art Museum. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and is survived by her only son William and daughter-in-law Christine of Elk Grove, California. She will be greatly missed by her many friends, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2005 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
