Karen grew up in the neighborhood with my mother and aunt. My mom, Helen Vieneau, worked with Karen in the Perkins Building in the 1960's and huddled together in the earthquake. We enjoyed having lunch together downtown. Prior to Orchard Park, Karen was with my aunt, Eileen Heggerness, at Cascade Park Vista.
