To Josie & All of Your Great Family ~ I originally wrote you in 1966 to join The Ventures International Fan Club. I guess I was the teen age pest who wrote weekly about my interest and love of Ventures music. You not only wrote back to me all the time, I was asked, in 1981 to take over The Ventures fan club. I was finally privileged to meet you at a Ventures show in Washington, DC, in 1996. It has been an honor to know you for over 40 years, then meet you. You were the most beautiful lady and to think what beautiful music you helped create. Ventures music is basically my life and you are without a doubt, a part of that. I am sending my deepest regrets and condolences along with my wife Jennifer. Josie will live on with the early recordings of The Ventures; the music she produced. I only talked to Josie twice, first at the EMP concert in 2001 and again on the cruise, she was a very kind and wonderful lady.

After 43 years of being a Ventures fan, I had the great privilege of meeting Don and The Ventures at BB King's in New York last March. That meeting and the friendship I began over the telephone with Tim became special to me. The warmness and positive magnetism exuding from these two gentlemen can only lead me to believe that it came from the genes of Josie Wilson. Tim's fond stories he has shared with me in the past makes me wish that I had the honor of meeting Josie.
Having a picture from Tim, of Josie signing my Ventures guitar last summer will be a treasure for the rest of my life.

We had the great pleasure to meet Josie at several Ventures concerts and on the Baja cruise. Josie was such a delight! Her love for her family and The Ventures was obvious to all.
Our condolences to Don and Tim, with whom we have talked to many times, and to all of Josie’s family. Josie will be missed by all that knew her but never forgotten. It was JosieÂ’s drive and faith in Don and Bob that made The Ventures a reality and began our love of music.
