I met Jo nearly 7 years ago. We quickly became dear friends. I have never met someone so amazing. There was nothing she couldn't do. I learned so much from her. She is the woman I aspire to be. I was also lucky enough to meet her family: her sisters, her children, and some nieces and nephews. Jo was a strong woman coming from a generation where that was not common or encouraged. I consider myself a much better person from having her in my life. Although I moved from Washington state, I made it a point to keep in touch with her via phone calls, and to visit her every time I was in Bremerton. I am so glad I did. Jo was a very private person, and I am incredibly honored that she allowed me in to her world. I know that she is with her beloved Dale now, and that gives me comfort. I will miss her deeply and forever. I love you, Jo.

Aunt Jo was positively the best great aunt a girl could have. She was also a lady and very much my grandma's little sister. I have been blessed to be part of this line of women of determination. Karen
I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Jo Hadfield. I, Pam Baird, worked at Olympic Ambulatory Surgery Center with Dale for many years until his retirement. I had met some of their children & it was always a delight to talk with & be around both Dale & Jo****she was such a sweet & tender lady*****such a kind & delightful couple.
Dale was always up for playing practical jokes***one being hiding one of my shoes when I would take them off at my desk, then he would leave to go home & I would have to hunt all over the place for my other shoe. Jo would always scold him when she would hear stories of this, but always in a kind way. What a wonderful woman she was. I miss both of them. They were a big part of my working life for many years. May she rest in peace. They are now together. She passed away on my daughter Shanna's 49th birthday.
We hold dear the many fond memories of Jo and Dale from our days at Summit Ave. Presbyterian Church. Jo and Dale were delightful friends, an inspiration to all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family.
Here is no doubt that Heaven reserved a special place for Dale and Jo Hadfield. They are now reunited. Our love to the Hadfield family, you have been great friends and a wonderful example to us.
Scott, so sorry for your loss.
