Josie was born in Seattle, Washington on April 14, 1986, and passed away in Seattle, Washington on July 16, 2023, at the age of 37. She was born to Sally Ellis (Bennett) and Bernard LaFayette a preemie with a fighting spirit. She was small but determined! Her favorites were rock music, creative writing, and dancing in night clubs. She could be found tucked away in her room with a book for hours!
She was diagnosed with kidney failure and was required to do multiple dialysis treatments every week. In the end, she struggled but instead, the Lord called her home.
She is predeceased in death by grandparents on her father’s side and her grandfather on her mother’s side. She is survived by her father, mother, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncle’s, and a grandmother on her mother’s side.
