Josie always stopped by the Nutrition Office at the kidney center on her way to her treatments. She was amazingly skilled at label reading and often brought things to the dietitians attention, either foods people on dialysis should avoid, or good choices for them. on June 21, the Mercury had a party to mark the beginning of the Mechanismus music festival. Josie was doing what looked to me like Martha Graham-esque modern dance - it was very cool, a highlight of the evening. that's how I'll remember her: a gentle spirit, dancing away.
