I am sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was a great person. When I started working at the jail he was one of the senior officers that looked out for the new guys. He would answer any questions I had and often reminded me that everyone was a "New Guy" sometime. He was always there to back up his fellow officers, both on and off duty. I played golf with Joe on occasion and it was always an adventure. His sense of humor made the bad shots tolerable and I think we wore out a golf cart battery once chasing both of our balls around the course. There was always one constant with Joe. It was his family. He talked about his wife all the time. He told me the story about how they met many times and each time he emphasized how lucky he was to meet her.
Joe will be missed by all that knew him.##imported-begin##Preston Smith##imported-end##
