Joseph F. O'Boyle
Joseph F. O'Boyle, 54, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence August 3, 2009. He was born in Longview, WA on October 5, 1954 to Francis A. and June M. (Pederson) O'Boyle. Joe married the former Pamela Burke on October 7, 1977 in Alton, IL, she survives.
Joe graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL in 1975. Through the years he worked for several funeral homes and ended owning his own from 1995 to 2002 in Kelso, WA. In March of 2005, he started working for Mountain View Funeral Home, where he was still currently employed. Joe was a past member of the Board of the Washington State Funeral Director Association and was also a past member of FEMA and Emergency Management.
Joe is survived by his wife Pamela, two daughters Amber O'Boyle of Longview, WA and Marissa O'Boyle of Kent, WA, two sons Shealor and Trevor O'Boyle of West Seattle, WA, one granddaughter Bailee Brookhart, two sisters and their husbands Maureen and Bob Schroeder of Las Vegas, NV and Susan and Bob Parvey of Longview, WA as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday, August 7, 2009 at Mountain View Funeral Home in Tacoma, WA with a memorial service at 7:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2009 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center with Father Michael Durka officiating.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM Monday, August 10, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kelso, WA with Father Mel Straz officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to your local hospice.
