John and I have known one another over 40 years volunterring on the Lakewood fire dept as well as becoming kind of a member of the Connor family. He was a good provider, gave of his time at the Veterans Hospital, love for fishing and golf. I will miss John for I have many fond memories. He came from fine stock for I adored his parents who I met on several occasions. I am forever grateful having met John, the advice he gave at my young age. Husband Don worked with John at Lakewood FD and we particularly enjoyed a trip to San Francisco when John was stationed nearby. We visited and he took us to visit his relatives in Tiburon. Don died 1999.
