John DeFevers' Obituary
John Robert DeFevers, 69, of Lakebay, Washington, passed away November 20th, 2019, at his residence. He was born January 6th, 1950, in Kentucky to John Jackson & Eulah Madeline DeFevers. He was preceded in death by his father, and is survived by his mother who resides in Glasgow, Ky.
John graduated from New Albany High School in 1968 and enlisted in the United States Navy. After his service in the Navy, John worked as a motorcycle mechanic and enjoyed racing Moto-Cross Bikes. He later became a Barber ....he was a Skilled Barber and cut hair in Barber Shops & Salons in Alaska and Washington State. He enoyed working on cars and motorcycles and anything that had a motor. John also enjoyed playing golf, boating and fishing, and telling great stories.
Mr. DeFevers was preceded in death by his two older brothers,
John Thomas DeFevers (81 years old) in September 2011, of Harker Heights, Texas, and Charles "Mike" DeFevers (71 years old) in May 2018, of Glasgow, Kentucky.
John DeFevers is survived by his two daughters, Leslie DeFevers-Cortez of Colorado and Michelle DeFevers-Griffin of Indiana. Also surviving are his three sons, Jon Christopher DeFevers of Port Orchard, WA., Jamie Robert DeFevers of Port Orchard, WA., and Trevor Eich of Glasgow, Kentucky. John was a Grandfather of 12 Grandchildren and was a Great-Grandfather of a Grandson.
A Private Celebration of John R. DeFevers Life was held on December 12th, 2019
at The Bethel Saloon in Port Orchard, Washington and his Ashes will be interned at Tahoma National Cemetary in Kent, WA.
