John Charles Holloway's Obituary
John was born on February 13, 1950, in Tacoma, and was tragically taken from his family and friends on June 10, 2004. He served two years in the Army, spent several years in the auto body repair trade, and for the last 22 years worked as an Environmental Protection Specialist for the Federal Government. John was a collector of old cars, car parts, and a Harley Davidson, but mostly, John was a collector of friends. He loved restoring cars and spending time with family and friends. He died as he lived, helping a friend.John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Christine; grandfather, Alfred Barcus; sisters, Kezia Rawlins (Jim) and Teresa Emigh; brother Eugene Hutchins (Mary); father and mother-in-law Cliff and Lucille Dahlin; brother and sisters-in-law David (Cheryl) and Linda Dahlin; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and many, many friends.A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 1:00pm in the Mt. View Valley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, remembrances my be sent to Violent Crime VictimÂ's Services, 1501 Pacific Ave., Ste. 201, Tacoma, WA 98402, or to the charity of the donorÂ's choice.
